Useful to know
- Many UAE insurance plans require a doctor's referral before physiotherapy is covered.
- Some policies limit the number of sessions covered per year, or require pre-authorisation after an initial number of sessions.
- Preventive, wellness and aesthetic services are often excluded from coverage, unlike medically necessary treatment.
- Direct billing means the clinic sends the bill to your insurer, so you only pay any applicable co-payment.
